How Do You Know if You’re Ready for Circle?

The first cohort of Circle women.

Applications for Circle are open. And maybe, just maybe, you feel something tugging at you. You can’t quite name it, but it’s there. Perhaps it’s arriving just as a lingering question: What now?

One of the clearest signs we see in women who end up joining Circle is this very feeling. Something inside is shifting and they’re ready for something more, and not in a "climb higher" kind of way. More in a "what else is possible for me?" kind of way.

Not Just Professional or Just Personal

Circle doesn’t draw a hard line between your work and your life. We know they’re tangled up together in beautiful and complicated ways. Circle is a space where thoughtful, high-impact women bring their full selves. There’s no need to switch between "leader mode" and "real me." It’s all you. It always has been, because at our core, we’re human first.

What Real Support Feels Like

And the kind of support that feels most nourishing? It’s rarely more direction. Honestly, many of the women in Circle are already pros at taking direction (and sometimes being great contrarians, too!). That’s part of what got them here. But sometimes, if you’ve been following the instruction manual to a T, it’s hard to listen to that part of you that says, “what if we put this piece here, instead?”

No matter where you fall, what Circle offers is this rare, real space. You don’t have to perform,  hold back, or worry about internal politics. Everyone is here for each other, period. That’s the magic of it all. Which brings us to another truth we witness in Circle, again and again:

Leading in the In-Between

We see so many women leading from the in-between spaces. They step up not because they were asked, but because they saw a need and filled it. They do the feedback loops, the emotional labor, the glue work that often goes unseen, and is often holding cultures together.

They do all that while also handling the job they were actually hired for. It’s generous and wise. And yeah, it’s exhausting.

You Don’t Have to Lead the Way You Were Taught To

There’s this quiet moment that happens in Circle. A woman realizes: Wait, I don’t have to lead like that. I can do it differently. Maybe she learned what not to do from past leaders. Maybe she’s been practicing her own way in quiet moments with her peers or direct reports. Either way, something clicks.

She sees that empathy, discernment, and a fierce sense of self can be leadership, too. The unseen work is equally—if not more—valuable.

Is This Your Moment?

If you’re feeling that mix of nervous and intrigued, pay attention. If there’s a little flutter in your gut when you think about being in a space like this, trust it.

Readiness doesn’t always show up as a bold declaration. Sometimes, it’s a whisper or a pause. Or maybe a question that won’t go away.

If that’s where you are, trust yourself. You’ll know what’s next.
